new. Continued Cha-cha-cha-changes in my life. As much as my heart is fluid to change--my mind ("ego") is fighting IT. LOL!!!! It's all good. So far, I've been keepin' score Heart 3, Ego 0. I've followed my heart and it hasn't steered me wrong. My ego, on the other hand, has gotten the best of me at times. However, with the help of spirit and the maintenance of my heart and ego thru daily meditation and other basic practices--I've found my life to be a lot easier to live. So now, as much as my ego has been fighting the change and my heart has stepped back to see life unfold--I've resolved that being fluid to change is like hitting rock bottom...THERE'S NO WAY BUT UP!!!! So I'm letting my heart ride...
As simple as it may seem, it is indeed easier said than done. I've found it now that my heart "has a mind of its own" and even though my ego battles with my heart telling me "don't do it (it being whatever IT is)" -- I find my heart taking every "leap of faith" it can, to allow me to live. Now, I've also learned to love my ego because it is me--my individuality. No more fighting--IT is ALL synchronized like a well-oiled machine. As any well-oiled machine, I must continue to meditate to maintain my spiritual well-being. This is the way I live. Aside from my daily rituals--these are my basic practices that seem extinct in our world; however, I hope you will follow this.
1. Be thankful for what you have. No matter how bad things are--remember, that there's always someone in the same boat as you or worse off than you. Be grateful for anything good in your life--there just might be someone out there that wishes they had what you already have.
2. Smile. Knowing you are grateful for what you have will make you feel good inside--so smile, be happy--spread that good energy to others. Sometimes, a smile is all that is needed to brighten up someone's day.
3. Respect. You want it, earn it. Be considerate of those around you. Hold doors and/or give up your seat for the elderly, pregnant women, parents with children, etc. You've seen it done--DIY--DO IT YOURSELF. Goodness comes back to you and you appreciate it.
Whatever you think of this blog (good or bad)--obviously, it was worthy of your time to read it and for that, I appreciate You. So ask yourself, what you are going to continue to resolve in your life to be a better person?
Till next time, I bid you all Love, Light & Compassion.
