Then, there are those who knew you in the past and think they know you now, uuuuhhhh WRONG! If you continue to let those individuals treat you as they did before, then you truly are the person of the past. You can either choose to stay quiet or say something. If you choose to say something, pray on it, pray for guidance to choose the right words, think about it and then let the other person know. Getting angry about it gives the other person power, it just makes that person right—is that what you want? I know that isn’t what I want--that definitely isn’t fit for me.
Reverend Jesse Jackson once said “Never look down on anybody unless you're helping him up.” People change, some make small changes and some make major changes—respect that and respect who they are now. For instance, one of my dear old friends doesn’t seize to remind me that “you’re not the most tactful one of the group.” That’s fine—that’s her opinion. But that isn’t me anymore, I know who I am—which is all that really matters. I’m finally at a point in my life that I’m comfortable with who I am. I can’t let others’ opinions of me get to me. Then, there are those who are insecure and project that insecurity on others; when I feel that energy coming towards me, I say a quick prayer, send love and forgiveness to that person—‘Cause they need it!
There are people in the world that just aren’t happy, but it shouldn’t stop you from being happy and kind to them. Don’t let their gray cloud come in and rain on your parade. Till next week, I bid you all Love, Light & Compassion.
