I’m slowing down before the New Year to reflect on all that has happened, good and bad, this past year. I believe “everything happens for a reason” and I know this, each occurrence brings with it a blessing in disguise and I’ve grown from it. As I reflect on all of the things in my life, I learned a lot from my past mistakes and how NOT to repeat it. I’ve done quite a bit of revisiting and asked myself “what is it that I needed to learn from this?” The answer came so easily and clearly; and I’d laugh to myself. I laughed knowing that God’s sense of humor sure is something else—Incomparable. I realized that once I stopped controlling the situation, let go and let God do his thang—everything fell into place each time. Also, I’m tickled to know how great God’s love is for all of us.
So please take the time today and slow down for yourself because “Time is free, but it's priceless. You can't own it, but you can use it. You can't keep it, but you can spend it. Once you've lost it you can never get it back.”— Harvey Mackay. We may never get it back, but we can learn to use it wisely. Well, Mr. Mackay—I couldn’t have said it better myself.
