My family isn’t just blood-related; my loved ones consists of those who I am privileged to call my friends, however—the bond from other lifetimes have also transferred into this one and such a bond is equally as strong and thick as blood.  “It takes a village to raise a child” – a recurring theme in my son’s life because my child is a perfect example and product of that upbringing.  Jonathan was/is blessed to have 2 dads:  his biological dad, John; and Chris, my late boyfriend.  He was equally blessed with 2 moms:  me and his step-mom, Melissa.  With all of us, he was blessed to have an unlimited amount of love pouring from all of our families combined.  I bring this up now because today is John and Melissa’s 22nd Anniversary—God Bless them both.  I wish them continued Love and Blessings.

John and Melissa – thank you for being there for Jonathan and me.  I know I’ve never told you this but I appreciate you both then and now.  We didn’t always see eye-to-eye, but we remained focused on Jonathan.  Both of you had the biggest hand(s) on his upbringing and I’m very grateful that God brought you both into my life and especially grateful because you both decided to stay in OUR LIVES.  So, thank you, thank you and thank you for your love and continuous support!  I love you both.

This is for the single parents out there—STAY FOCUSED ON THE CHILD.  If the dad or mom, wants to stay involved with the child, who gives a shit if your baby daddy or mama has a new love in their life?!  PLEASE put your differences and feelings aside for the child’s sake.  That new love will not and cannot take the place of the child’s mother and father; they are there to contribute their part in assuring that the child is loved, humbled and successful.  FAMILY FIRST; GOD IS LOVE.

Ooooh before I forget, if you want to try the best cheesecake in the California Central Coast – you must try Melissa Yeater’s Cheesecake Dreamations.  Please feel free to check out her page at www.cheesecakedreamations.com or you can like her page on www.facebook.com/cheesecakedreamations.  Till next time – I bid you all LOVE, light & compassion.
