One of my Facebook friends advised me to "get lost" in Paris and believe me, I did so without even trying to get lost. I was walking through the various "rues" and alley ways and I even took the train to board a tour bus to take me to the Moulin Rouge, The Louvre and Montmartre Village! I must say my experience with "Madame" Paris, the city of love was exactly that. I loved how she and the Parisians welcomed me with open arms and were very tolerant and patient with my very limited French, some of them thought how "cute" I was for constantly apologizing for murdering their beautiful French words. Sheesh - definitely on my bucket list is learning to speak French and to speak it fluently!
I'm telling you the vibe I felt and received was liberating! I was only there for a total of 3 days with all 3 days packed with activities such as touring the Eiffel Tower on the first day; walking and getting lost in the city on the 2nd day and ending the 2nd Parisian evening at the world-famous Moulin Rouge; my 3rd and final day, I toured historical Paris and visited both the Louvre and Montmartre Village. The only regret I had was not spending enough time in the Louvre - I could've easily spent 5 hours reveling in the art. I loved viewing Signor Da Vinci's works of art - they seemed to be talking to me. I had no bad experiences and I look forward to revisiting Paris, Provence and Lourdes by 2018.
I don't mind saying that I went there alone and I intended to fall in love. I did fall in love...with Paris. Enough talk - here are the pictures and videos from my lover, Paris.
Next week - we talk about Rome, Italy. Till next time, I bid you all love, light and compassion!
