Besides the summer season, I love December because of the holidays. I love Christmas because it brings out the kid in me and "it's the most wonderful time of the year!" I love prepping for Christmas and I become extra generous this time of year. I love seeing the excitement in children’s eyes as they climb up on Santa’s lap to give them their Christmas list and then seeing their eyes on Christmas morning when those wishes are fulfilled. It reminds to me look at life through the eyes of a child--through the eyes of wonder and happiness. It is also this time of year that I do get lonesome because my family (my son, mom and dad) aren't able to be here physically with me during the holidays. But, that's what makes me appreciate them that much more! So for me, when it comes to my family - any time I have with them are all of the holidays combined.
