Dear Jon,
Thank you so much for coming home this weekend. I miss you so much and you've only been gone since this morning. Like my Facebook post says - My heart is full of love to last lifetimes. We were surrounded by nothing but love - we had a great weekend. I am tired but a good tired.
Let's see I started Friday night with a bang. I went out and drank a little too much - but all the while I had fun with Erik - and it was good CLEAN fun. It's been a long time since I've been with a guy friend who treated me the way I deserved to be treated.
Saturday morning was fuckin' hilarious - it was our short film version of "Hangover" LOL!!!! Touring SFO looking for my lost son. Shakin' my head. Then, we finally got you and on the road...and we got lost going to the mortuary. You chuckled in the back, talking about "I really need to get you a GPS." LMAO!!! (Ok, so at the time, it wasn't funny but it sure is now.)
We make it to the church and reality hits me that we're there for a funeral. I am so proud of you. You did an awesome job as a Pall Bearer. We then went on to have lunch at Maria's and Tony's house - and you met a new friend. I was being nosy - NOT RUINING YOUR GAME! LOL!!! That was hilarious - I was really looking for a light! How you said it though - you said there were so many smokers there and how and why I couldn't have asked them for a light. LOL!!!
Then, we headed home with Deborah driving - it is always some kind of adventure with us, ain't it? We get home and we had a real good talk - I said some stuff that I've wanted to get off my chest for a very long time. Sorry if I've overwhelmed you but now, there truly are no secrets from me to you. You seem to understand me and I appreciate your empathy towards me.
Woo hoo - so we skipped my friend's barbecue and went to see the step daddies in the Fast & Furious 6 instead. YES!!! Everything worked out perfectly. I enjoyed our food and drink fest when we got home. Poor you though, LOL, for falling asleep on the kitchen table. LOL!!!
Sunday was toned down (Thank God!) even though we drank some more. Auntie Lynn, Auntie Merle, Uncle Manny and your cousins were all happy to see you. Life is great - regardless of the circumstances of why you came home. We even closed out your visit with a call to your Lolo and Lola. I'll keep you posted on Lola's progress. I love and miss you already. Also, Auntie Merle called, after I dropped you at the airport, to make sure we got home safely.
Mommy
This is just a snippet of the book so I hope you enjoyed this letter and I hope you support me and my book when it is finally published in 2015. Details to follow. Till next time, I bid you all love, light and compassion.
