It's a Wrap!

Time to tie up loose ends, prepping for the not so far 2013.  For me, November - December is that time of year to tie up ALL loose ends so I can move forward.  Before then, I'm Santa's Elf, going thru the list mom and dad has prepared for me and checkin' off this list as I go my merry way.  I saved myself the trouble this year by shopping on-line so I can remain thankful for the day after Thanksgiving without losing my train of positive thoughts or getting trampled on.  :o/

Gotta end 2012 with sending out my revised query letters in hopes and blessings that one literary agent is sent my way and "under my tree" for Christmas.  ;o)  As all previous years, days, months, etc. - I must remain fluid with and for change.  Change is good!

Till next time, My Loves - I bid you all love, light and compassion.

Everyday IS Thanksgiving

I don't wait to celebrate Thanksgiving once a year because I celebrate IT EVERYDAY, I'm grateful and thankful for everyone, everything and each experience in my life.  I'm appreciative of the people who choose to be & stay in my life.  Most of all, I am thankful that God gives me a new day to start over when I wake up each morning.  I am especially thankful for my beautiful son, mother, father & family; our military who continue to risk their lives to uphold OUR FREEDOM; and the second chances given to our men, women and children who have survived any and all tragedies--have lived to tell about it, to make and shape this world.  I appreciate that person on BART willing to give up the seat for our elders, women and especially the pregnant women.  I appreciate that gentleman who holds the doors for us ladies.  So, you see I am the eternal optimist.  I find joy and grace in everyday life.  I am also human--I refer to those who do the opposite of everything I'm appreciative of as being raised by wolves; at the same time, I feel sorry for those individuals as well--it makes me wonder, what is it that's going on in their lives that they neglect to see the world around them?  All I know is Mom & Dad always told me to be "as helpful as we can be to our brothers and sisters here on earth 'cause we're here for exactly that--to help each other."

I'm also grateful for those who chose not to stay in my life because they helped me understand a part of me that which I needed to grow out of and let go of so I can grow into a stronger individual and welcome others who are worthy of my love, time and energy.  I heard the saying that "you can't take everyone on your journey" and now I can vouch for it because this statement is true for me.  I have forgiven those who have wronged me because I choose not to be burdened with someone else's baggage.  Hence, forgiving them in actuality is forgiving yourself.

So you see, My Loves--life is one big celebration!  We're all here to contribute our part to make life worthwhile and enjoy each other's company--make it a "party!"  Since Life IS a party, please pass me the Patron!  LOL!!!!

Till next week, HAPPY THANKSGIVING  & AS ALWAYS, I bid you all love, light & compassion.

My weekend

11/5/2012

So this past weekend was both productive and fun!  My weekend started like this:

Friday:  I met with a new client for a reading and healing session--I love these modalities because I love walking away knowing I made that person feel better and confirm what they already know in their heart.  Lesson:  It's always good to have a 3rd pair of eyes "looking in" to see if you've missed something and what else there is you can learn about yourself and the world around you.

Saturday:  Woke up to take care of personal business (paid rent); then headed to Sacramento, specifically, UC Davis Medical Center/Hospital.  I met up with the Machado-Miranda Family to visit my 2nd mom, Maria (yes that's her name too).  Without getting into specifics out of respect for my 2nd family's privacy, I had to prepare myself for what was behind that hospital door.  All that mattered was that Maria was alive and most of all stable (and somewhat conscious).  However, she must have read my face as I was holding back tears, when I looked into her eyes to tell her "I'm here, please don't talk and take it easy" (in a hospital of all places).  Lesson:  No matter how much you've prayed/meditated to prepare yourself--You will never be prepared to see your loved one in pain and suffering.

Sunday:  FUN DAY!  I helped out a friend's daughter with her film project and I had a blast with the rest of the young people on the film set.  I had a small part(non-speaking role, thank God!)  Long story short, I worked with professionals who had an awesome sense of humor.  Lesson:  People, just like things, aren't always what they seem; make the most of life and live it up.

What do all of these events have in common--it felt good to be needed and to lend a helping "hand"--I appreciated and loved life even more.  Bring it on, God--Bring it on!!!!

Till next week, I bid you all love, light and compassion.
