Your birthday is fast approaching and boy, let me tell you, do I feel old. It seems like yesterday that I held you in my arms coming home from the hospital, excited to show you off to your grandparents and to the rest of the world. Before I knew it, pre-school came, elementary school, then middle and high school! Then, You approached me with the toughest decision--You chose to defend Your country. Geez, 24 years flew by like 24 hours. It’s been quite a ride! I can’t wait WHAT ELSE God has in store for You. You are exactly the man I dreamed You’d grow up to be. I am so proud of You and I love You very much.
I’ve made my mistakes in my lifetime but every time I look at You—You are the one thing (for lack of a better word) I did right in my life. I think I can speak for Our Loved Ones when I say “We’re all proud of You.” I wish You the greatest life, love and lots of laughter. Keep living life and making those mistakes—the more mistakes You make, the wealth of experience You will gain, hence making You a GREAT man (You're already a good man). Before, I “formally” forget to do so—well, here it is HAPPY BIRTHDAY & BRAVO ZULU, SAILOR!
